Contraste Vaping Coils®
A coil (also called a resistance) is the part of the atomizer that heats the e-liquid and turns it into vapor. The coil is basically a wrapped metal wire that heats up when powered by the battery. It determines the flavor, vapor production, and intensity of inhalation.
Each coil has a value in ohms (Ω):
Low resistance → produces more vapor, requires high power. Ideal for liquids with a higher VG (vegetable glycerin) ratio, which produce abundant vapor and dense clouds.
High resistance → produces less vapor, works with low power. Perfect for liquids with a higher PG (propylene glycol) ratio, enhancing flavor and providing a drier inhalation.
Vaping Styles
DL (Direct Lung): Direct inhalation to the lungs. Produces large clouds of vapor and intense sensation. Requires high power.
RDL (Restricted Direct Lung): More controlled direct inhalation. Balance between flavor and vapor. Medium power.
MTL (Mouth to Lung): Inhalation first into the mouth before reaching the lungs. More flavor, less vapor. Ideal for beginners and nicotine salt e-liquids.
